Hey guys, how are you doing?
Yesterday was the first time in a long time that I didn’t pick up my computer
to surf the net even though there was light and I had internet data. I felt so
lethargic and uninspired yesterday. I was tilting towards being sad so I just
shut down everything and glued my eyes to the television. I watched some Disney
Junior programs and then some of Nickelodeon’s Sam and cat episodes and then i started
flipping through channels before sleeping. I am better today, Thank God. I think it is all these raging hormones in my body....*thelifeofafemale*
I heard that Big Brother Africa
would soon start. Good for them, as for me I no dey watch am (I don’t watch
it). Apart from the first episode which I watched the weekly high lights (when I was in
100 level), I have not followed the program since. I hear about all the antics
but to sit down and watch it, no way. I am not interested but you cannot begin
to imagine the amount of people that are really in love with the program. I
heard that this year those on the 5000 naira bouquet of DSTV and upwards can
watch it. Previously it was only those on the 11500 naira who could watch it.
So for all you Big brother Africa lovers hurry up and pay for your
subscription. Fortunately for me, I don’t have DSTV. I have GOTV and that is
just perfect for me.....hehe.
Did you hear that USA now has a case of Ebola and that
about 100 people could have been infected? My first thought when I read it was ‘GOD
CATCH THEM!!!’ (how would I interpret this….God has shown them more like a good
for them….I don’t know how to interpret this pidgin English). Anyway I felt that it served them right for thinking they were above Ebola.
I keep telling people that until there are no more patients with Ebola virus, we
are all at risk (which reminds me I need to increase my hand washing and hand
sanitizer use). US and the countries not in Africa had felt that it could only
happen to West Africa, well Ebola has shown them otherwise.
I have some things to say though.
WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH THIS FREAKING LIBERIANS? ARE THEY DUMB OR STUPID OR
PLAIN MEAN? IS THERE ANOTHER VIRUS THAT IS AFFECTING THEIR BRAINS? ARE THEY
CURSED WITH THE SPIRIT OF CARELESSNESS, WICKEDNESS AND STUPIDITY? I am sorry
for my words, I know that all Liberians are not like that but I just had to say
it. When I read that the US had a case of Ebola I thought it was an American who
was infected but to realize that it was a Liberian, I was mad. Let me remind
you guys, it was a Liberian-American that imported Ebola to Nigeria.
And the second reason why I am angry
is because he lied when he was filling the information form at the airport. He
said he had not come in contact with any Ebola victim in their infective phase
just like Patrick Sawyer did. Like what is their problem uhn? But I also think
the medical personnel at the hospital that he first presented to when he had
the fever and headache should be queried. Are they dumb or what? Someone presents
with those symptoms and tells you he just came from a hot zone of Ebola and you
let him go home with antibiotics. Once you hear LIBERIA, fire alarm bells should
begin to ring in your head. You go into CIA mode and quarantine his ass until proven
otherwise. It is Ebola until proven otherwise. Now they are slamming
restraining orders up and down. Anyway they have the Zmapp serum and a
fantastic health care system so they should be able to do better than Nigeria.
I really pray that they are able to contain it as fast as possible. It is time
for Ebola to go! It is tiring!
It is time for another giveaway….Yay!!
So in honor of the upcoming Muslim celebration (and in keeping in touch with my Muslim heritage) I am having this giveaway strictly for my Muslim readers. When
I visited the Sheikh Al Zayed grand mosque in Abu Dhabi, we were told by our
hawt (can I say that? *coveringmyeyes*) tour guide that there are six times
that a Muslim should pray in a day (he said most people only pray 5 times
because the first time is really early). My question for you guys is based on that information.
The question is 'list
at least 3 of the names for the prayer time' (not in Arabic writing o). And if you
think you can bambozzle me, think again. I am literally staring at the picture I
took of the clock at the Mosque *tongueout*….lol. The prize is 1000 naira worth of airtime
for any network. Terms and conditions are you have to be the first person to get it correctly, be a Muslim (i would know if you are not), write your email address and name when you leave your comment. You also
have to answer the question before Sunday so that I can send you the airtime
before Monday and you can enjoy using it during the celebration. I wish you all
the best…. Oh! It is only open to Nigerian residents...*sorry*
I have more to yap about especially
about that bank called GTB but I think that deserves a post on its own. Let me
stop for now. Can someone tell the rain in Akwa Ibom to chill? After getting a
mild soaking today, I was literally shaking under my covers. I had to
change to long pyjamas bottoms, a big shirt and a sweater just to be warm. This rain should
relax already!
I have to go. Thanks so much for
stopping by….
Luv ya,
Petite Diva….
