GRATITUDE......

Image result for refugees images

Hey guys, how have you been? How was your Christmas celebrations? Mine was okay. I got invited to have a typical British Christmas Lunch at the home of the ministers in charge of my church so Christmas day wasn't so bad.

Lately i have been feeling out of my element, i didn't want to go out, i didn't want to watch movies or do anything. I have been feeling sorry for myself and worrying about what would happen to me very soon if a miracle doesn't happen. I didn't want to even go to church today but i am so glad i did.

Today's reading was about Joseph (the earthly father of Jesus) running away from Herod with Mary and Baby Jesus and living in Egypt then in Nazareth afterwards. For the first time in my life, i realised that Jesus and his parents at that time were refugees. I was like 'oh my goodness'. They ran away to save the life of Jesus. The reading seem befitting at this time when some people are having so much issues with countries taking care of refugees.

Then came some shockers for me. A member of my church was called up and she was asked some questions. As i listened to her story, every sorry spirit in me started to disappear. Things might not look too rosy for me but at least my story is not that bad. She had to leave her country Zimbabwe, her family and her 3 year old daughter so that she can protect her life and their lives. Just because she was standing up for justice. Even though she has been here for almost 15 years, she has not had it easy. Right now she says she receives no support from the home office and is on the list of people who are to be deported.

Another guy from Sudan who is not a member of my church also told his story and how he had to run away from sudan to save his life and had to pass through the desert just to finally reach the UK. He also said the same thing about the Home Office and how badly they are treating him and others but said that people have been nice to him and even though he is a muslim he finds that Christians are very nice to him.

Hearing their stories made me appreciate all that i have and i am going through. It is not as easy as i want it to be but i know it can only get better. What i feel is too complicated and hard for me, i trust that God would make a way and when it is at the perfect time.

The lesson here is that no matter how bad you think you have got it, someone has it worse than you. So be thankful for everything you have and are passing through.

LAZY GEH POST....HAIR TIPS

So it is time for another lazy geh post and as usually the pictures come from my phone. I just spent about 20 minutes deleting over 300 pictures from my phone and i still need to delete more. All the whatsapp group i am currently in are not helping my phone storage at all...

Since i have finally decided to loosen my over 3 months braids and i know the damage that i might have caused i needed to remind myself of good hair practice. I am sure that some of you would have screamed and said 'you carried your braids for 3 months?!' However i had no choice.

MONOCHROMATIC HOUNDTOOTH GOWN

Hey guys, it has been such a long time since i stopped by but it was not without good reason. I had an epic exam today and it was one that i needed every cell in my body to all cooperate and concentrate. It was an Epidemiology and basic statistics examination and for those who are familiar with statistics know that the thing ain't easy mehn. My brain at a point couldn't take anymore i had to even shut down for some hours. I thank God that the exams was okay. At least i didn't have a panic attack and though i couldn't answer the questions to a 100% at least i wrote something down. Now it is all in God's hands...

Anyway while browsing through some online articles i came across this pictures of a certain celebrity, Vicky Pattinson. Unfortunately i have no idea what she does but she has been in a lot of articles on dailymail.com lately.

I love the simplicity of the gown and how she paired it with the leather jacket and shoes....
If you've got it... Stepping out at the ITV Studios on Wednesday, Vicky Pattison proved the cold was no match for her as she opted to keep her legs bare and show off her shapely pins in a monochromatic mini dress

Amber Rose is really beautiful. I have never appreciated her beauty because her fashion style is weird and she has too many tattoos but recent pictures of her in Paper magazine has left me totally amazed.

For those who don't know her, she is a model, ex stripper who got really famous for dating Kanye West and was married to Wiz Khalifa.  Here are more pictures of her channeling known feminists:

CHELSEA WINS 4-0 AGAINST MACCABI TEL AVIV

Chelsea defender Gary Cahill celebrates in front of the travelling supporters after opening the scoring for the Premier League outfit
Gary Cahill
Brazil international Willian was on the scene to congratulate Cahill following his 20th-minute opener against the Israeli outfit
Willian and Cahill
Shame to bad people o......All those praying for the downfall of Chelsea, your prayers would not work. Even though Chelsea has had a rough time lately, we are still champions and champions never give up no matter what.

In a match against Maccabi Tel Aviv, my Chelsea football club boys.....Gary Cahill, Willian, Oscar and Zouma did us proud by scoring goals.Even though we played on a terrible pitch and one of the Maccabi players tried to hack Diego Costa and got sent off (serves him right), we won......Yaaay....

GRATITUDE POST.....

Image result for grateful quotes

I was nominated for the gratitude challenge post by the lovely Amaka of Seyonhundeyin.blogspot.com some days ago but i have been incredible busy and too lazy to write the post. When i decided to write it yesterday i got distracted that is why i am writing it today. Thank you Amaka for the nomination. You guys should check out her blog.....she spits some serious truths and has a series called 'Grammar 101'

The rules are that you should accept the challenge in 72 hours upon nomination (which i didn't do....I am so sorry) and you have to write 5 things you are grateful for on any social media platform (including blogs). Then you are to nominate 5 other people to take up the challenge.

I like gratitude challenges because it makes you to stop and take a good look at your life and allows you to remember how blessed you are. When you count your blessings, all your problems seem to fade away at that moment.

So here are five things (among a lot of things) i am grateful for:
