100000 PAGEVIEWS AND COUNTING.....

Yes, you read that right. I woke up this morning to see that my page view count was 100000. This blog has been viewed 100000 times and counting. It is amazing and humbling to me. I remember when the page views was 10,000 and now it is 10 times that amount. I could not be more grateful to everyone that reads my blog. I am not the consistent of bloggers and i don't do copy and paste gossip like 20 times in a day, yet you guys still keep coming back. I couldn't be more grateful to God for how far he has brought me with this blog. It has been a blessing especially when i feel down.

Want to win this? Then continue reading....
Whhheeeeew.....It has been a long time i did one of this post. And do i have so many things to tell you.

So last week, i had the confirmation of all my faith talk and a testimony. I am so grateful to God for his mercies. Though something was erroneously done, it is not that much of a big deal because it can be corrected. What? You might wonder. Please don't worry because very soon you would know about it. The posts explaining everything has been written but i need to keep everything to myself for now.

RAMBLINGS OF A DIVA……..

Hey guys, how are you doing? Yesterday was the first time in a long time that I didn’t pick up my computer to surf the net even though there was light and I had internet data. I felt so lethargic and uninspired yesterday. I was tilting towards being sad so I just shut down everything and glued my eyes to the television. I watched some Disney Junior programs and then some of Nickelodeon’s Sam and cat episodes and then i started flipping through channels before sleeping. I am better today, Thank God. I think it is all these raging hormones in my body....*thelifeofafemale*

I heard that Big Brother Africa would soon start. Good for them, as for me I no dey watch am (I don’t watch it). Apart from the first episode which I watched the weekly high lights (when I was in 100 level), I have not followed the program since. I hear about all the antics but to sit down and watch it, no way. I am not interested but you cannot begin to imagine the amount of people that are really in love with the program. I heard that this year those on the 5000 naira bouquet of DSTV and upwards can watch it. Previously it was only those on the 11500 naira who could watch it. So for all you Big brother Africa lovers hurry up and pay for your subscription. Fortunately for me, I don’t have DSTV. I have GOTV and that is just perfect for me.....hehe.

HIIIIIIII

Hey guys, i just popped in to say hi. I am almost through with my lectures so i would be back soon.

Today they talked about exams and to tell you the truth i was scared. I have never been scared of exams before. But i realised that i don't have to be. If i am i might not be able to understand what i am reading. I have decided to read to understand and read to be a better pharmacist and not for exams anymore.

40000 VIEWS AND NEW BEGINNINGS....

Instead of me to concentrate in class, I was joining the selfie nation and taking a selfie...lol
Update: The giveaway is officially over. Thanks for participating.....

Hey guys, I am really beat. I don't know if it is because I went shopping after the lectures or because I think I am too old to be sitting down for a lecture of more than 2 hours but I am super beat. However I just checked my page views and I see that we have MADE it. We have finally reached 40000 views and counting. It is actually 40026 as of now.

GIVEAWAY WINNERS!!!

So in my recently conducted giveaway (my first ever) only 3 people participated, 1 male and 2 females. Definitely that means that the only male reader that answered the question would get the prize for the male category and the prize for the female would be given to either of the 2 female readers that participated.

But as i was thinking of how i would conduct the raffle draw for just 2 readers, a crazy idea came to me. Why not give both female readers the prize? I know right, i am crazy uhn. But this is the season of giving and i feel that i should reward the 2 readers who actually knew the answers and actually took the time to write the answers in the comment section. So yes, in true diva style i would be giving the 3 readers who answered my questions the gifts that were stated.

So SESAN, AMAKA and PEACE, you are the winners of my very first giveaway. CONGRATULATIONS!! Whoop! Whoop!!. Please do send a mail to futpharm@yahoo.com with your full names, address (including your state) and phone numbers so that when i am sending your gifts i can fill out the information that is needed.

Well, folks that is the end to my first giveaway. I am thinking of having giving out a pair of shoes that i can't wear. It is not new, i have worn it once but i could barely walk in them. I had instant knee aches just walking around in them for about 2 hours and they are a little bit big. I have tried looking for someone to give to but apparently i am the only one among my group that has 'Cinderella' feet. Oh well, i would put up some pictures soon and put up the rules for that giveaway. Oh! The shoe is from ASOS and i paid 7000 naira for it. And i couldn't wear it for more than 2 hours *wailing*

I have to run. Again, congrats to Sesan, Amaka and Peace. I would be expecting your mails soon.

Thanks for stopping by.

Luv ya,
Petite Diva

QUICK POST

I am so sorry guys that i have been unable to write for a while. I planned on writing yesterday but some things happened. I was on call and since the doctors have called off their strike, it was kinda of busy. Right now my eyes feel heavy that is why this is a quick post.

Then a friend told me something that is happening in her family and it is scaring the heck out of me. I have a question for the military/investigator guys among you my readers (both in Nigeria and outside), what steps do you take to find a missing person? Please it is urgent! I feel so helpless and i feel like i need to do something. Can please someone help me? I would be checking my blog comments section regularly to see your suggestions. Thank you. It is in cases like this i desperately wish i was in the military.

Today is the last day for the giveaway. If you have not yet participated, it is not too late. The competition ends at midnight today, just click here and answer the questions.

Thank you guys for stopping by.

Luv ya,
Petite Diva.

HAIR POST: WASH DAY

Hey guys, before I start to write about the details of my wash day I just have to tell you about the three things of great importance that happened today.

One: A consultant in the Endocrinology department of my hospital saw me today with my in-charge and greeted me (after greeting my in-charge of course), then you won’t believe what he said next. He said that I had put up a picture of him and my madam on the net. And I was like ‘what?!’. I was shocked and started wondering when I put up a picture of him then I remembered that I had a blog and I had put up a picture of him in this post (a post i had written last week). I was stunned after I realized that for him to have said that, it meant that he had checked out my blog. I could literally not close my mouth. I couldn’t and can’t still believe it. How did he get to know about my blog? I still don’t know the answer.  Anyway, it just means my blog is going places….whoop! whoop!!....lol. Thank you sir for visiting my blog....

Two: I joined a Whatsapp hair chat group (hairlista) today……another Whoop! Whoop!! I was invited by Stella aka Ghlong of Ghlonghair.blogspot.com. Check out her blog for everything hair, you would seriously learn a lot.

Three: It is official! Someone is looking for my trouble o. I am on call AGAIN on Christmas Day. This is the 3rd time I am on call on Christmas day since I started working here, the only time I was not on call on Christmas day, I was placed on call on boxing day. Like someone should please give me a break! I am so angry right now but also calm because there is this feeling that I have that makes me so sure that I would never be put on Christmas calls ever again.

Now that I am through with my non hair related rambling, let’s get down to it. I washed my hair on Sunday, I did a heavy protein treatment as I was trying to prep my hair for my planned weave fixing.

PREPOO: I prepooed with my oil mix (warmed) on my scalp and Emily millionaire’s coconut oil cream on my hair strands. Covered with a plastic bag and 2 shower caps and let it on for 45mins.

SHAMPOO: I shampooed with a shampoo-conditioner mix I had made a long time ago. I made this mix simply by mixing equal quantity of shampoo and normal conditioner. I washed twice and my hair felt stripped. It was my first time experiencing such, weird. I guess I have never felt such before because I always wash once except with the black soap. Don’t think I would try washing twice again, I don’t like the way my hair felt.

PROTEIN TREATMENT: I made my protein treatment using 2 teaspoons of food mayonnaise, 1 egg yolk, added about half a teaspoon of my daily moisturising oil mix (I have 2 types of oil mix, please don’t ask me what is inside cos I can’t remember…*smile*), about 10 drops of neem oil (just got it on a wimp and trying to see what it does, maybe I should research its hair benefits though the medicinal benefit of Neem tree is its antimalarial property) and about a teaspoon of organics hair mayonnaise. That is where things went wrong. Maybe I shouldn’t say wrong, it just went somehow. My creamy thick mix became
a watery mix that was just too much for my hair after i added the organics mayonnaise. I still applied it like that (want not, waste not), covered with a plastic bag, 2 shower caps and left it on for 1 hour. I probably would have left it for longer but the mixture was dripping all over me. Note to self: never add egg yolk to hair mayonnaise.

TEA RINSE: after rinsing off the protein treatment with water, I rinsed with my strawberry flavoured tea. I allowed the tea to drain off then wrapped with a micro fibre towel to soak some of the water running off.

DEEP CONDITIONER: I applied organics olive oil deep conditioner that I mixed with honey on my hair, covered with a plastic bag, 2 shower caps, my mother’s old conditioning cap and left on for 1 hour.

I rinsed off with cold water, wrapped in a micro fibre towel for about 10 minutes and placed my hair in a bun because I had to rush outside to get airtime because as I was uploading a post I discovered that my internet data had finished. That would mean that I finished 3.81GB in 8 days!! This is getting saddening. I used to struggle to finish 3 GB in 1 month now I have used up 12.9GB this month and the month is not yet over…..*wailing* I seriously need another source of income ooooo. I can’t keep up with this o. With my internet and phone, I am sure that I am spending close to 15 thousand naira on credit! That is outrageous and I am seriously not finding it funny o. This blog has got to pay for itself!

Anyway I came back and loosened the bun, the hair was about 40% dried, I applied my new Vitale Olive oil anti breakage leave in conditioner then waited for my hair to dry some more before using my profectiv break-free leave in conditioner. I moisturised with profectiv growth lotion, sealed with my oil and T444Z hair food and my whipped shea butter mix, detangled and placed my hair in a bun.

So folks that was how my wash day went, I suffered very minimal hair breakage. I should probably do a review of the Vitale leave in conditioner after I have used it for a while. I ended up fixing the weave today instead of yesterday, I would upload pictures of my hair tomorrow.

Thanks you all for stopping by, hope you enjoyed today’s post. I am sorry that I didn’t put up so much pictures I was too busy doing too many things at the same time to take pictures.

For newcomers to this blog, there is a giveaway competition going on right now. Please check here to be able to participate. Bye for now.

GIVEAWAY! GIVEAWAY!! GIVEAWAY OOOOOOOOO!!!.......*CLOSED!!!*

Yep, it is that time. I promised to have a giveaway competition to thank you guys for visiting my blog and causing it to have 10000 page views. I know for some people who just started blogging and have a lot of views already it might not seem so that much of a big deal to you but it is to me.

I started this blog in 2010 and I was not consistent in blogging at all. It was either I was having writer’s block, too busy or I was having the worst network ever or I couldn’t afford to pay for my internet or I was too lazy. However within the last 2 months i saw the page views increase from 7000 to more than 10000. I actually thought it would reach 10000 views by December ending because I didn’t think lots of people wanted to read my blog but you all showed me that I was wrong. I am so grateful guys.

So in appreciation of your love towards me, I am having this giveaway competition. The rules are simple:
1.     Answer the simple questions I ask. Answers to the questions are either in some posts or somewhere on the front page of the blog.
2.     You need to be living in Nigeria. I won’t be able to send the prize to you if you are outside Nigeria.
3.     You need to leave your name and sex when you leave your answers since there is a gift for my guy readers and also for my girl readers.

 Here are the questions:
1.     Navy, Army or Air force? What kind of girl am i?
2.     What is my favorite T.V series?
3.     What is my favorite colour?
4.     Apart from writing, what other hobbies do I have?
5.     I work as a ……………. from 9-5  (or should I say 8-5)
6.     What tribe was I born into?
7.     I grew up in which state and what state do I work in? (2 questions in one, sorry)

That is all. Guys, have fun answering the questions. I know they are so cheap right? I wish you all the best of luck.

Now here are the pictures of what I would be offering. For the lucky male reader, i am giving away a body wash/deodorant combo by Old Spice..

For the lucky female reader, I would be giving out what I call ‘my moisturising essentials’. It consists of profectiv’s growth lotion and growth oil and also my specially made ‘whipped shea butter mix’. This three items are essential in ensuring that your hair stays moisturised all day.

Sorry that there is no picture of the shea butter mix but that is always freshly prepared before a supply....
I hope you are as excited as I am. The competition would last till the 4th of December and I should announce the winners by 6th of December. Please guys invite people to take part in the competition, the more the merrier. Maybe I would make a tradition to have a giveaway competition for every 10000 views.
Thanks for stopping by.

Petite Diva.

MY PRESENTATION AND WORLD DIABETES DAY…..

Before I start writing today’s post I would like to ask all my tech wizard readers on how to reduce the size of a file, MS word or PDF. I am supposed to upload some of my credentials on a website and they specified that the data size be 100KB. I have no clue how to reduce a 1MB file to 100KB. I am so confused. And I need to submit within the next 10 days. Help!! Please help me people…. Thank you

My presentation was yesterday and people said I did more than okay. However I felt that I did below the standard I had set. I had practiced for days and I knew what I wanted to say but standing in front of less than 15 people caused me to still shiver and I forgot what I wanted to say or how I planned to say them. I wanted to be interesting and funny so that the attention of my audience won’t waiver but I ended up being the same boring person I think I am. At a point I even heard my voice shaking, I had to shake it off immediately. I also had a case of butterflies in my tummy too.

But all in all with all my flaws I think I did okay too. At least I was able to answer the questions and practiced public speaking again. Thank God. Also the outfit I wore was rocking. I planned on having a friend take me pictures but apparently my battery in my camera decided to die on me (I didn’t know that I could not charge it with my laptop). Also can you imagine, my laptop almost disgraced me? It refuse to come on when it was time for me to present.

Here is a picture of the outfit I wore (my in charge took the picture after I was through with the presentation), hope you all approve.

Say Cheeesssseeee.......

On Tuesday (the 19th), a pharmaceutical company decided to mark ‘world diabetes day’ that usually comes up on the 14th of November every year. So the plan was to march around the hospital and create awareness, even though like a consultant said, we were supposed to create awareness with non hospital staff outside the hospital as most of us in the hospital know about diabetes. But rain had some serious other plans. It rained heavily at that period. This was a rain that there was no visibility at all…..*scary*.

So we just wore our T-shirts that my in charge had to displace some people for (when would the injustice to pharmacists end) and was as usually big for me and pretended to march (or should I say ‘I’ pretended to march). I was too busy snapping away to be interested in singing and marching around the hospital.

Anyway here are some pictures. Before anybody yabs me about the way I wore the cap, hear me out first. I work in a hospital with medics that are so stiff and most of the times not fun, so in other not to look like everyone I decided to be a rebel hence the snap-back style. Hey, I have to be the diva all the time na…..hahaha.

Pharm 1 and ADPS

People actually creating awareness

The crowd
Pharm and Doc
Rain, Rain go away!
Pretending to be involved in creating awareness....lol
Mwah! A kiss from me to you all....
That is all for today folks. Be sure to check this space tomorrow for the giveaway rules. Yep Guys! The competition would start tomorrow and 1 lucky female and male reader would get a chance to win something spectacular. Hope you check my blog out tomorrow.

Thanks for stopping by.
