WEDDINGS! NIGERIAN WEDDINGS!!

Mr and Mrs Sunday Etim
Hey guys, i attended a wedding today and i have something i must say about the way Nigerian weddings are conducted.

Why do the Church Weddings go on for up to 4-5 hours? Uhn? What are they doing? Like today, the church wedding was to start by 10am and at past 2pm we were still at the church venue. Honestly i don't get why they do that? Most churches do marriage counseling before the wedding day, yet that day the priest or pastor would begin to talk and talk and talk. They would also do some unnecessary ceremony. As for me, when my time comes (by God's grace) the priest had better make the ceremony under 3 hours. I ain't keeping my guests for 5 hours in the church. With the reception and the church ceremony, the whole day is spent. I left the reception at 4pm and they were still there.

Anyway it was a lovely day. I was actually called aside by a guy and he asked for my number. I don't like giving my number out to strangers and i actually thought he wanted to scold me because i think i was running my mouth in the church. I told him i would give him my email contact and when he was writing it, he told me why he called me. He wanted me to hook him up with one of my intern aka Children. Can you imagine? I didn't know whether to laugh or get mad. Like for real?!! The girl was by my side. She was the one that even let me know that he was calling me. So now what? I am now her agent...*handsupintheair* Anyway she was not interested because he is waaaayyyy older than her, heck he is way older than me.

Here are some of the pictures:

Welfie.....lol

Hope you enjoyed viewing the pictures. I have lots to say about the wedding but like i told another guest, it doesn't matter if it was not what i usually like as long as the bride and groom are happy. The rest of the world can go home and sit down with our taste! I just realised that weddings are not cheap. I was reminded that halls alone cost about 200000 naira to almost 1 million naira (1400 USD to around 7000USD). What?! Anybody thinking of doing a very small destination wedding like me, raise your hands.

I wish Stella and her husband Sunday, a happy married life filled with Love and Happiness. I pray that nobody shall put asunder what God has put together.

Thanks for stopping by guys. I just watched 'Lovestruck, the musical' and i am so loving the dance scene between the young Harper and Ryan. I can't get the music out of my head. I want to apologise to my Non Christian readers, i realised that when i want to talk about some lessons that i learned in a biblical story i refer you guys to read the bible. I don't write about the story, i have forgotten that i have a wonderful variety of readers. I would definitely try to write the story next time. June, i am so sorry and i owe you the story of Samson and Delilah.

That is all for today folks. Enjoy the rest of your weekend...

Luv ya,
Petite Diva
