WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

John Quinones of ABC Channel
Hey guys, for the past week I have been spending so much of my data watching a show called 'what would you do?'. I honestly did not know about the show until I stumbled on it on YouTube while watching recordings of 911 calls and stories on children and adults that helped catch bad guys or did brave acts.

What would you do show is hosted by John Quinones and it is a candid camera social experiment show. The show creates different scenarios to see how people would react.

Wikipedia says that in the series, actors act out scenes of conflict or illegal activity in public settings while hidden cameras videotape the scene, and the focus is on whether or not bystanders intervene, and how.

Variations are also usually included, such as changing the genders, the races or the clothing of the actors performing the scene, to see if bystanders react differently.

Quiñones appears at the end to interview the bystanders about their reactions. As the experiment goes on, psychology professors, teachers, or club members watch and discuss the video with Quiñones, explaining and making inferences on the bystanders' reactions.

I started watching it because it was really interesting to see how people react to different scenarios. As I watched more I began to ask myself 'what would I do if I was the one'.

As I thought more about it, I realised that sometimes I have been in situations that I needed to step up to the plate and I walked away saying 'it is none of my business'. It made me see the errors of my ways. Thanks to the show I am beginning to understand that sometimes you have to speak up when something is wrong.

I might get slapped or shouted at but I now know the need to speak up for people. Hopefully when I am in such situations I would remind myself of 'what would you do by John Quinones'.

I would try to upload some videos for you to view. I hope you are able to view them and learn something. I believe you would be inspired to act right and speak up when things are going wrong.

That is all for today guys. Thanks for stopping by....

Luv ya,
Petite Diva
