Hey guys, so you all have been reading on the experiments I carried out last week and you have seen pictures too (on my Instagram page). Well for those of you who are not on instagram, don't worry I would be uploading the pictures today.

I would also include the links to the blogs that i got the recipes from and write the recipes where necessary. So let's get right into it, shall we.....

Fried doughnuts with sprinkle of icing sugar or granulated sugar and cinnamon
Baked doughnuts before glazing
Glazed baked doughnuts with sprinkles....
Ginger Spiced Nutri C drink....
Here are the links to the recipes:

I got the recipes for the spaghetti from http://www.dobbyssignature.com/2014/08/jollof-spaghetti-recipe.html?m=1

This is the link to the recipe for the doughnut...http://www.dobbyssignature.com/2014/06/how-to-make-doughnuts-nigerian-donut.html?m=1

For the peanut butter and jelly cookies I got that from YouTube. The baker/channel is called Cupcake Jemma. Here is a link to her you tube channel...http://youtube.com/user/CupcakeJemma?

The recipe for the hot cocoa was gotten from two recipes I saw on you tube.

Ingredients:
Unsweetened cocoa powder (the one used to make chocolate cake).....2tsp
Cane Sugar (granulated sugar)......11/2 tsp
Milk....1 cup
Cinnamon powder......1/4 tsp
Vanilla essence....... A dash or 1/2 tsp
Unsweetened cocoa powder
Directions:

Mix the sugar and the cocoa in a cup.
Add about 2 tablespoon of the milk or water to the cocoa and sugar mix, stir until you get a paste free of lumps.
Boil about 3/4 of the milk until bubbles appear on the top. (You don't need to buy liquid milk, I used powdered milk that I had dissolved in water).
Add the milk to the cocoa paste and stir thoroughly.
Add the vanilla essence and stir.
In another mug or cup, pour the remaining cold milk, add the hot cocoa and sprinkle the cinnamon on the top.

Some people add marshmallows on top then sprinkle the cinnamon but since I didn't have marshmallows I just sprinkled the cinnamon.

The recipe for the vegetable omelette is on you tube. Just enter 'how to make omelette' and you would see so many videos. Cheese is used in preparing omelettes but since I hate cheese I didn't use it. My choice of veggies were tomatoes, red pepper and onions. I also added dried ground pepper, a pinch of salt, seasoning and milk to the eggs.

To make pan toasted bread simply apply butter or margarine on both sides of the bread and lightly toasted on a frying pan (non stick is better). Make sure to use low heat and watch that it doesn't burn.

I tried the ginger infused nutri c drink after seeing a friend do it. I grated a small piece of ginger added cold water to it. Sieved it and used it to dissolve the nutri c. I was scared of it being too pepperish so I just added about half of the ginger water then added ordinary water. Next time I would go 100% with the ginger water and see how it goes.

I used Ayoola rice flour for the tuwo. The instructions are written on the pack. I liked how light it was and I am happy that there is another swallow I can eat considering the fact that I can't eat a lot of swallows.

There you have it folks, my experiments for last week. I hope you guys are able to try some and enjoy making them.

The recipes for this week (by God's grace) include Ginger cookies, Shortbread, pop corn (if I ever find the kernels), coconut cake and ginger beer (if I can find lime or lemon).

Thanks for stopping by guys. I wish you all a blessed week ahead.

Luv ya,
Petite Diva.
