* with one application of this hair mask, you will notice a remarkable decrease in your hair shedding but consistent use will further reduce the amount of hair shedding (considering other factors that may be causing your thinning hair are also been taken care of).<br />
<br />
No one wants to wake up and see that they are losing hair at a very fast rate. Even though we all lose hair every day, shedding more than 100 strands of hair is said to be excessive. However, there are some homemade remedies that are effective in delaying the shedding phase of hair.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Coffee contains caffeine and caffeine has been said to be effective in shortening the shedding stage of hair thereby resulting in less hair fall. It blocks dihydrotestosterone which is a hormone that elongates the shedding stage of hair. Therefore blocking the action of this hormone results in less hair fall and thinning of the hair. A topical application when done on the hair or scalp, it finds its way to the roots and stimulates them. it finds its way to the roots and stimulates them. <br />
<br />
Coffee also stimulates the hair roots by improving its structure and growth. Caffeine can thus restore hair growth and/or prevent hair loss. Coffee makes the hair shaft stronger and smoother, making it easier to manage while giving it a natural sheen. <br />
<br />
Remember to rinse off with cool water and to follow up with a very moisturising deep conditioner to balance the protein treatment. This treatment should not be done every week else your hair will break due to protein overload. It should be done once a month for best results. <br />

<br />
<br />
It has been quite a long journey with plenty of ups and downs but finally, we are here. We are more than 1000 Diva Navy Strong and I am extremely grateful to each and every one of my wonderful subscribers. Thank you for trusting me enough to subscribe to my channel and watching my videos. <br />
<br />
To say thank you and because I believe that my story is for his glory and I should be able to reach one and teach one, I decided to make a video detailing all that I did to be able to gain 1000 subscribers in 30 days and also increase my views and watch time. I tried out all these 8things at the same time and cannot categorically say which one worked and which one did not work. It is a long video but I hope that someone is able to replicate my tips and my success. <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
Here are the 8 tips/strategies I used to gain 1000 subscribers:<br />
1. Reorganise or Restrategise: After realising that 2 of my home remedies for hair care videos were doing well, I decided to change the focus of my channel and started uploading more of home remedies videos and stop uploading content that were not doing so well and didnāt fit into the new focus of my channel.<br />
<br />
2. Daily upload challenge: A lot of Youtubers both tech and non tech have always claimed that consistency and frequency was essential in growing fast on youtube so I decided to challenge myself to upload daily for at least 30 days without any break. I uploaded every day from August 13th to October 1st and I noticed that my views and watch time increased drastically from August 17th.<br />
<br />
3. Plan your content: Consistency is important to growing your channel. One way to keep yourself motivated and be consistent is planning your content ahead. A youtuber who was able to gain 50,000 subscribers in 1 month advised planning at least 2 months worth of content ahead. By doing so, you know what your videos should be all about and you can be motivated to upload videos even on days that you feel uninspired.<br />
<br />
4. Do more SEO/Technical research: I had to learn more about search engine optimisation, keywords and keywords phrases and also including relevant tags in my videos. I downloaded the free version of Tubebuddy and it has been helpful. I still donāt know a lot about SEO and the technical aspect of youtube but I am learning every day.<br />
<br />
5. Join Social media groups: I joined some social media groups that comprised of other smaller youtubers or just youtubers. My purpose of joining was to gain subscribers and learn about the tips or tricks to youtube success however I noticed earlier on that I was not getting subscribers or views from the groups. I left some groups that were not useful to me but I stayed in some that I was getting inspiration and knowledge from.<br />
<br />
6. Look for small YouTubers you are interested in their content: I searched for small youtubers whose content I was interested in and I subscribed, watched, liked and commented on their videos. My hope was that they will reciprocate and even if they donāt, I already liked their content so my actions were not a total loss.<br />
<br />
7. Self promote on bigger channels with an active community: I followed really big channels and usually left a meaningful comment and also self promoted my channel on their platforms.<br />
<br />
8. Look at your analytics: I looked at my analytics and from my audience statistics I was able to decide the best time for me to publish my videos so that I could get more views within 24 hours.<br />

Bananas are said to be very effective in helping with natural hair growth, helping with hair loss, fighting dandruff and help to prevent premature greying of natural hair due to its potassium content. Regular use of this banana mask will also result in silky smooth hair.<br /><br />Coconut milk: Coconut milk does a lot for natural hair. It is used as a conditioner to soften the hair. It is high in beneficial fat, and this makes it an efficient way to soften the hair for manageability. Its molecules are excellent at penetrating the hair shaft so you can be sure coconut milk will not just sit on the hair.<br /><br />It also strengthens because of its high protein content. The milk contains 5 grams of protein per cup, making it efficient for restructuring the hair shaft. <br /><br />I hope you enjoy the video<br />

I know that I have kinda of abandoned my blog for a while but it has not been easy trying to grow my channel. As a very very very small channel, I have to put in more work than the bigger channels. So I basically have to upload consistently and also have to comment on other blogs to give my channel the exposure that is needed to gain new subscribers.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br /><br />
I hope that when my channel is somewhat established I will be able to return back fully to writing. I have so much to write on that you are going to be blown away.<br />
<br />
So till I am back fully, I will be putting up posts on videos that I have uploaded on my channel. If you watch any video that you are impressed with, please feel free to share the video with your friends and family.<br />
<br />
Here is one that I made on how you can use honey and ginger juice to achieve great hair growth. The benefits of each ingredients is stated in the description box of the video. I hope you enjoy it.<br />

I saw this Indian hair growth technique on an Indian lady's channel and decided to try it.<br />
<a name='more'></a>I added honey which she didn't and I was so surprised with the results. I can see why it helps in hair growth. As a Natural 4c hair type girl, my hair was super super moisturised after I rinsed and washed the treatment of with just a shampoo. I almost did not want use a conditioner.Yes! It was that moisturised.<br />

I am definitely doing this once a month. And since I have almost 30 Aloe Vera plants in my mini garden, I am not in short supply of Aloe Vera.<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOfyk7Bbyrtfc4uvmEIksBU6piqq70v0vCH184PUZy_ehnCuk56pj94tecNoTeLD4zv30DcUNZo5nX_9bp4jvH_VEbqQbfwb_vXwmL1IYMSxljrov_nV9V2gh5L-ZaO_SWSik9bq-wTt2h/s1600/DSC_1911.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1063" data-original-width="1600" height="212" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOfyk7Bbyrtfc4uvmEIksBU6piqq70v0vCH184PUZy_ehnCuk56pj94tecNoTeLD4zv30DcUNZo5nX_9bp4jvH_VEbqQbfwb_vXwmL1IYMSxljrov_nV9V2gh5L-ZaO_SWSik9bq-wTt2h/s320/DSC_1911.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="MsoNormal">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
One of my biggest fault is that I am too naĆÆve and try to believe the good in people. Hey guys, welcome to another story time post. Did you enjoy the last one? I hope you did. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
So let me dive right into the story. Everyone (okay, maybe not everyone but a large percentage) who goes to study abroad (especially the UK or USA) likes to stay back after their studies. But lately the rules concerning that in the UK is getting stricter and stricter by the day. One of the few ways to legally stay back is to get a job that pays at least Ā£20,000/annum and that your employer must be one of the Tier 2 visa sponsor. Problem is that the UK govt has also put a clause that the employer must show that there is no other UK/EU nationality that can do your job (my research says otherwise but most employers seem to use this as a reason not to employ international students). </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<a name='more'></a>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Due to this rule, most people are always looking for a job. I know I did and I didnāt get one interview (maybe I was too late or not good enough). However there is apparently another legal way to stay back. It involves a lot of work but it is legal and the requirement does not depend on an employer just your school.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I didnāt know about this option until I was back home and I started seeing pictures of people who I thought were looking for a job or any legal way to stay back. I know that I even asked one of them whether he found a job or something that allowed him to stay back but I believe he sidestepped the question until I found out from someone else what they had done. They applied for the graduate entrepreneurship visa. I was bummed and felt betrayed. It even felt worse when I found out that some of them presented their business idea as a group of 2 ā 3. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Why did I feel betrayed? It was not like we were super close buddies but I just thought that we were in the āwe have to stay behindā group together. I even confided in one that I was not finding the job search easy meanwhile they were working or had already gotten the endorsement and were not as desperate as I was.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Honestly it left a bitter taste in my mouth. Then I felt that maybe their business idea was super innovative like facebook or whatsapp or something like that. When I wanted to apply for the visa from Nigeria and was thinking of ideas, I asked one of them about some of the ideas that were approved and I was shocked. I was like āthat is it!ā. Just that!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>Some of the ideas were not innovative (in my opinion) at all. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway I have come to realise that I was not meant to apply for the visa because of some things that have happened. A friend of mine had told me about the tier 1 visa but when I was checking up on it, I saw information about another type so I didnāt bother. Also I applied for the endorsement (even though I donāt have the monetary requirement) and when it was time for the interview, two things happened. One, the network was shitty. I could hear them but they couldnāt hear me. This is the same network I used for a UN interview and I was heard loud and clear. Two, apparently the lady in charge forgot to let me know that I was to make a powerpoint presentation. She said she sent me a mail on what the interview/presentation would entail and how long it would last and I receive nada! She said that she would check to see what happened and send me a mail rescheduling and with the details. It has been almost 6 weeks and I have received squat! I just decided to leave it but I have a good mind to send her a mail just to prove that she lied about the mail and just wanted me to fail at the task.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Oh well, the point of this story is donāt believe that everyone who seems in your corner is in your corner. Sometimes you have to be prepared for things like people hurting you. I told them that I was not happy with them for doing it without even letting me know but I know stuff like this would always happen. It is just the way life is. I have tried to let go of the feelings I had and wish them well.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
It is just like my youtube channel. My social media circle consists of at least 1000 people (I know it is really small but remember that I am an introvert and really like to be private) and yet I have 105 subscribers and I am positive that half of them are not my friends. I was really bothered until I watched a vlog in which the Youtuber (a Nigerian) was speaking about when she started and how she could barely get 100 subscribers and views on her videos for months. She said that her friends did not watch her videos or subscribe but she continued to hang in there. Now she has over 1, 300, 000 subscribers and her videos have been viewed over 190 million times. From my rough estimate, with google adsense she has probably made close to $100,000 (it could be less or more, I wouldnāt know).</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The point is that she has started making a lot of money and her subscribers span from various continents not just Nigeria. I have seen comments from people in India, USA, Canada and the likes. I even saw a comment recently of someone saying they share her videos in a group. Now she has been able to upgrade her life and now some of her friends want her to help them set up youtube videos.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
With that as my motivation, I have become less stressed about people in my circle buying my products or subscribing and watching my videos. When it is time for people to take notice, God would bring customers from ten thousand of miles for me and I wonāt deal in naira but dollars and pounds.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

Hope you enjoyed this story time post. I have more in store for you guys.</div>

Hey guys, I am back with another way for you to keep that hair on your head and even grow itā¦.a lot. I have known about Apple cider vinegar for almost 5 years but I have not been faithfully using it. The first time I used it, my hair felt a bit dry because I didnāt use it the right way.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.791868209838867px; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
But first, what is Apple cider Vinegar (ACV)? Is it the same as the standard white vinegar? No, it is not. Apple cider vinegar is a type of vinegar that is made from cider or āapple mustā and has a pale to medium amber color. Some ACV contains the mother of the vinegar which is a cobweb-like appearance and looks congealed. This ACV is said to be the āunpasteurised/organicā form.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.791868209838867px; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
ACV is made by crushing apples and squeezing the liquid out. Bacteria and yeast are added to the start the alcoholic fermentation process in which the sugars are turned into alcohol. The alcohol is converted into vinegar by acetic acid-forming bacteria.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: 16.791868209838867px; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
There are various brands available such as Heinz, Braggs (which contains the mother and is quite expensive) and American Garden.<br />

HOW TO USE ACV</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
It is recommended that the raw, unorganic, unfiltered kind is used but people have also reported favourable results using the store bought/filtered type.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
You would need:</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
1/2 - 1 cup of water (250 ml)</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
2 ā 3 Tablespoons of ACV (30mls ā 45 mls) (You can reduce this depending on your hair texture so you might have to experiment with the ratio a couple of times)</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
You place the water and ACV in a spray bottle or applicator bottle and shake for a few seconds</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
After shampooing your hair, apply the ACV mixture on your scalp and hair strands. Make sure that your hair is thoroughly soaked with it. Massage the mixture into your hair and scalp.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
Cover with a shower cap or plastic bag for 5 ā 20 minutes then rinse your hair thoroughly with cold water to close the cuticles of your hair. There is no need for a conditioner however some people also carry out this rinse after prepooing with a conditioner, washing it off with a shampoo then using the ACV rinse. You basically have to do what works for you and your hair.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">
P.S: You can also include herbs into your ACV rinse by infusing the herbs in the water used for the dilution.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: 11pt; line-height: normal; margin: 0cm 0cm 8pt; text-align: justify;">

WARNING: If you are a pharmacist or other healthcare worker, you might not like what you are about to read. You are free to disagree with my opinions and state yours but you are not free to insult me or any other professional. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
So BBC carried out an investigative piece on the scourge of codeine syrup epidemic in Nigeria and indicted some people/persons and people are having issues with the piece. Personally, I was super happy about it because it gave me evidence to back my hypothesis on the cause of this problem.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The genesis of this epidemic is from the pharmaceutical companies, pharmacy owners (who can be pharmacists, doctors, nurses or any healthcare worker or anybody with money), pharmacists/pharmacy assistants and pharmaceutical representatives. Yes! I said it. And I will say it again and again. Why did I say this? Let me give you all a back storyā¦ </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I was born into the world of pharmaceuticals and growing up, I was accustomed with only one brand of codeine based cough syrup and that was Benylin. While in pharmacy school, the Parkalin brand of cough syrup was introduced into the Nigerian market but it took quite a while for them to produce their own brand of codeine cough syrup. By the time I finished pharmacy school, I knew just two brands that were producing the syrups. When I started my internship at a community pharmacy, I was shocked to see that Emzor pharmaceuticals was also producing codeine based syrup. Why? I did my 6 months Industrial training at Emzor and during my time there, it had not yet been formulated. I also noticed that some other brands had started producing codeine syrups but they were about 5 in number. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Fast forward to 2017/2018, you can imagine my shock to see that every Tom, Dick and Harry pharmaceutical company that has the facilities to produce syrups is making their own brand of codeine based syrup. Why? GREED!! It is that simple. People are thirsty for money. And they donāt care whose life is damaged while doing it.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I remember in 2009 when this addiction was slowly creeping into the Nigerian system, I heard people were mixing the syrup with alcohol, soft drinks, energy drinks and even heating it up and injecting it. I made a personal decision to always ask questions whenever someone requested for a syrup with codeine. Based on their answers, I will determine if you needed it or not and convince you to try another syrup that is non-codeine based. There was a particular client that I noticed came to the pharmacy to request for the syrup on a daily basis. After a few confrontations and some walking off by the client, I decided that I didnāt have the energy for anymore confrontation. So whenever I sighted the client, I simply hid the bottles and straight up lied (yes I did) that we didnāt have any stock in the pharmacy. I will then advise that the client to try the non codeine based alternative. In my over 2years experience as a community pharmacist, I can say I barely sold/dispensed up to 15 bottles of codeine based syrups. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
That was my decision and thankfully my boss trusted me to do what was right. However that cannot be said for some other people. There was a staff member who knew that people were addicted and started increasing the price of the syrups and sold without any restrictions (when I was off duty). I also noticed that the client stopped coming when I was on duty. The client probably came when I was off duty or went to another pharmacy. So while I was trying my best to help prevent the epidemic, some people due to greed were fanning the flames.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Now this issue has blown up in our faces. According to reports, the epidemic is at a critical high in the Northern region of Nigeria. I donāt get how 10000 bottles can be sold within a short period of time. That is 1,000,000mls of codeine based liquid!! Outrageous!! In 2009/2010, Benylin with codeine was about 350 ā 400 naira (Benylin was the premium brand), now Coflin (a more likely generic brand) costs 1500 naira (last time I checked). Can you see why I said greed?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
The investigative report by BBC incriminated a pharmaceutical rep from Emzor who went to a hotel room to sell 60 bottles of codeine based syrup. Like Boy!!! Are you freaking crazy? What differentiates you from the street drug (narcotics) peddlers? I am still trying to understand what he was thinking.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Now some pharmacists are having their panties in a bunch because they feel the report was indicting. Like I said while I was trying my best to do my part, some pharmacists were selling more than 2 bottles at a time to patients/clients at that time. I canāt even begin to think about how much they are selling to people now. Some of the pharmaceutical reps because they must meet their sales target sell to every street corner shops. Hey, the goal is to meet the target, get that commission and be promoted. Some pharmacy owners donāt even care as long as the money is coming in. 30 bottles of codeine syrup at 1500 naira amounts to 45000 naira/day and in 24 days in a month that is about 1,080,000naira in sales. Cha ching!! Big bucks in this harsh economy, right? But as long as we are not the ones using it, it doesnāt bother us, right?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I once heard that we all need to work together to improve our society because if we think that we are far up in the society with our money and moral standards and donāt help others to be better, one riff raff or deviant can show up and turn your world upside down. It is not hard to imagine one addicted person taking up armed robbery or stealing to support his addiction and having an encounter with you. You get my drift?</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
So now that we acknowledge that we (especially pharmacists/pharmaceutical reps) have been part of the problem, it is time to end the problem. We need to employ both upstream (prevention) and downstream (management/curative) interventions in order to tackle this epidemic.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
I will list the interventions that I believe might be effective, hopefully it might be valuable when drafting some policy decisions (that is if this piece ever reaches the policy makers).</div>

<div class="MsoListParagraphCxSpMiddle" style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1; text-align: justify; text-indent: -18.0pt;">

So I am a comics superhero movie fan. I looovvvveeeee Superman and no matter how many times I watch Lois and Clark: the adventures of superman, I never get tired. I didnāt follow Smallville when it aired because I was kinda of angry that Lois and Clark was discontinued and I didnāt understand all the Lana Lang angle but in the past couple of years, I have watched as much Youtube clips of Smallville that I can find online.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Wakanda Foreverā¦. Yes, Black Pantherā¦.The latest rave among non superhero movie and superhero movie fans. There was so much hype around it that it was choking. I have watched and read so much reviews and editorials that I felt overwhelmed. Why? I didnāt want the marvel cinematic universe movies to be overshadowed by the overwhelming political and sub psychological context that people were placing on the movie. I have loved MCU movies since Robert Downey Jr starred as Iron Man. I watched some X-men movies till I got offended that Halle Berry was not cast as Storm. I watched the first Fantastic 4 movie (with Chris Evans now Captain America and Jessica Alba) and was mad as heck when they decided to do a reboot with Micheal B Jordan as invisible girlās brother or so. Please donāt get me startedā¦.</div>

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Let us get back to the essence of this postā¦.I recently heard that MCU has made over 15 billion dollars from its superhero/comics movie franchise. I saw the class photo and videos of the shoot and I had to take a step back and reflect. The creator of<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>these comics<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span>and movie characters, Stan Lee never really wanted to write comics at the beginning of his career. He wanted to be a literary author. But he got an assistant job at the comics division of a magazine where part of his duties was to fill the ink jar for the writers. After a while and after the departure of some of the comic writers/creators, he was made an editor and given the opportunity to create the superheroes that we all know now.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
As I reflected on the impact of Stan Leeās creation, some key points of living a life of impact came to me and I decided to share.</div>

Heck, a fun fact is that Stan Lee has made numerous cameos in most of the movies and cartoons of marvel. He was even in Black Panther (did you spot him? Can you tell me the scene/location?)</div>

By showing up, he is encouraging everyone and making sure that the Marvel universe continues to bring joy, hope and encouragement to others for a very long time.</div>

I watched Black Panther not because of the hype but because like I said, I am a superhero movie kinda of girl. I will rather spend 2500naira on the Avengers, Batman vs Superman (heck I went to watch it on the day it was released and I had never gone to the cinemas in the UK before that day but for a superhero flick. Count me in) than watch say The wedding party, Titanic and the rest.</div>

<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"></span>I always come out of the movies on a high but there was something different about this one. I came out empowered. My mind became clearer. I realised that I have been selling myself short for too long and it had to end now. Though I may be scared about some things, I am going to look at the fear and tell it to stand down. It took a comic book movie to actually like really, really, really drum it in my head that I am a daughter of a King, a daughter of the Lion of Judah. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">

<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway, with the incredible success of Black Panther, it has grossed over $1.3 billion dollars worldwide and counting, there is going to be a Part 2ā¦ā¦Yaaayyyyy. The Avengers: Infinity wars (Part 1) is going to be seen in cinemas at the end of April/May and I hope I am brave enough to watch it. There is going to be so much chaos and I am so scared but I will show up like a Warrior Princess.</div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
Okay folks, that is all about the life lessons I was able to gain from the life of Stan Lee and his arsenal of superheroes. </div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify;">
So who has watched Black Panther or any of the MCU character films? Did you enjoy it or them? A side note: I read that one actress said that they should stop producing superhero movies and I felt like giving her a swift kick in her butt. What kind of talk is that?</div>

<br />
Hey Guys, so maybe my title is a teeny weeny bit dramatic but do you want to read about my story? I have heard youā¦You donāt have to beg me too much....lol.<br />
<br />
So it has been a while since I had a boyfriend and when I went for my masters, I began to wonder if I am capable of feeling any attraction for anyone. All thanks to my epic disaster of relationships. Then one day at work, suddenlyā¦a guy I had never met came into the scene. The boy was fiiiiiinnnnneeee as heck (Petite Diva the dramatic). He was cute. And for an unknown reason, he thought I was pretty (He needs glasses). He was my superior and once when I was struggling he came to help like a knight in a shining armour (as if that is not part of his job) and gave me a tip to make me more efficient but I put up a resistance and felt like I knew it all. But after a while, I found out that his advice worked (stubborn thing like me).<br />
<br />
Any which way, we (in other words, I asked to be placed) found ourselves on the same shift but I was not always placed to work with him. However the thing (boy) always found a way to sneak in to say hi. I was swooning. It is not my fault. He made me smile and laugh. He was nice and such a playful thing and I enjoyed bullying him a bit.<br />
<br />
Butā¦.The BIG butā¦..He was married. The day I found out was (I believe) a consequence of my discussion with God. You know how we ladies are. I had already started thinking of weddings and the works but I felt something was not quite okay. I think 2 days before I knew he was married, I had said a prayer that I saw on Instagram about having your own God designed relationship or something like that. Then Boom! I find out he is married. I was bummed, I wonāt lie. For weekssssā¦.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn8h5Hz86Z3hC4ITYn4wQRRP0CQWM6EoKdafca1dBP66HBu-od8GL2UhnyTdLN4YvzjY8XlL78woqmWEkxJJPg5eDf8kaVjxR4AXVkKRLEPhBbVz98H0to0mCXe_Xzrlx4nnOBHoFcvTu9/s1600/images+%252857%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="224" data-original-width="225" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn8h5Hz86Z3hC4ITYn4wQRRP0CQWM6EoKdafca1dBP66HBu-od8GL2UhnyTdLN4YvzjY8XlL78woqmWEkxJJPg5eDf8kaVjxR4AXVkKRLEPhBbVz98H0to0mCXe_Xzrlx4nnOBHoFcvTu9/s1600/images+%252857%2529.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
How did I find out? I overheard a conversation that was none of my business. I am beginning to think that people were gossiping about us and the guy purposely came to talk to him when he was close to me. He was standing close to me and this guy comes up to ask āHow is your Mrs?ā and I was like āwhat in the world?ā. I thought that I didnāt hear well but Ladies and Gentlemen, I did o. I did. And to further prove my theory that there must have been gossip about us (because I still remember one weird look I got from an elderly guy when I was teasing him during one if our lunch break) , I noticed some ladies speaking in hush tones close to me (and I believe I saw one of them look in my direction or so).<br />
<br />
Then it so happened that I sat with one of the ladies who now told me that he was married and had 3 boys. That was it! I was scattered. I knew that my ears were like ādodo the cartoon characterā. It has super hearing abilities like superman. I had heard right the first time.<br />
<br />
I had to try to shake off the sad feeling but is that ever easy? I had to behave like a big girl and get on at work like nothing happened. It was not his fault, right? And the thing kept on being his goody self. I remember the day I was feeling so emotional and he was his playful self, I forgot he was my superior and snapped at him. The guy was totally taken aback because I shut him down in front of people (I think 2 or so). But he came and stylishly met me and asked āwhat is wrong with you?ā. I told him PMS and he almost ran away. He was shocked that I said such. It was funny the way he reacted.<br />
<br />
I tried to be not so smiley at him but whenever we had an encounter it was impossible. I was either teasing him or he was teasing me or people around me were teasing him. While I was trying to patch my heart together, some people kept trying to break it again. I remember that one of my work circle once said to me that we (the guy and I) look good together that if not because he was married that she would have loved us to get together. And I was like āwhat the heck?ā. Then another day, we (the guy, myself and some people in my work circle) were talking. Someone asked how many children he had? And I said āthreeā¦three boysā. I then opened my mouth to say āyou need a girlā. That is how one person actually repeated the words to him and just had to say āmaybe she would be the one to give you the girlā. The boy ran away immediately and I attempted to be 'all I donāt do second wife things'. Ta! I was trying to act like I was not bothered.<br />
<br />
The truth is when I sat down to think about it, if It was an option to me at the time when I was really feeling him, I would have accepted the offer of being a second wife which is really ridiculous to me considering I am an alpha female. I hate to share my man but you see this thing called attraction abi is it āLustā, it is very dangerous. It can make you do and undo.<br />
<br />
How can you overcome it or know when what you feel is right or wrong? I donāt know. I guess all you can do is Pray. Ask God to reveal the whole situation or part of the true situation to you and give you the strength to walk away. I didnāt have the strength to walk away or stop my feelings especially when even on my last day there, someone who I think had no idea about us openly said āHe likes you naā. Back story to this statementā¦I was reporting the guy to him. I told him that he was teasing me about my height and he made that statement. We (the guy and I) were both speechless for a few seconds. I gained my senses and made a protest and he repeated it again and my guy couldnāt say anything. The boy just stood there.<br />
<br />
Oh well, I had to leave and I am back home and my senses are back or are they really back? I guess I might never know.<br />
<br />
I hope you liked this story time post. I realised that it had been a long time since I did an honest post about my life. Hope you donāt sit there, sipping your tea and are judging me like Judge Judyā¦lol. It has happened to the best of us.<br />
<br />
Help! I have a swollen upper lip. I ate something and now I am reacting to it. I have taken an antihistamine and I am eagerly waiting for the lip to return back to normal.<br />
<br />
Thanks for stopping by.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
Intrigued much? This ancient secret has been used for centuries by the Japanese, Chinese and Southeastern Asian women. The Yao minority women from Huangluo village, in Guangxi province in Southern China are known to have extraordinarily long hair that stays black until they are around 80 years old. They believe that having long hair is an auspicious sign of good health, good fortune and longevity.<br />
<br />
The average hair length of the women is about 6 feet and the Yao women even hold the Guinness Book of record award as the āworldās longest hair villageā (Issa real somethingā¦). The secret has also been used by imperial princesses in the East also.<br />
<br />
This secret is also great for the skin. It helps to heal scars and reduce wrinkles, fine lines and inflammation leaving the skin with a healthy glow.<br />
<br />
I am sure that right now you are like what is the secret? Well, for most Africans and Asians I am sure you have it in your kitchen and you never thought of it in this way. What is this secret? It is RICE WATER!! Yes, Rice Water!! The water we get when we wash your rice or boil it. I know right! I was like What? Rice?! Rice ke?! That we eat every week? That I have probably thrown away a tanker full in my lifetime? Okay o.<br />
<br />
Here is the science behind the use of rice water for hair. According to the research, rice contains antioxidants, minerals, vitamin e and traces of āPiteraā (albeit majorly the unpolished, organic type contains more of these than the polished ones). The fermented rice water which is good for the hair contains āInositolā which helps to increase the hairās elasticity thereby making the hair strands flexible and defining the hair curls.<br />
<br />
It also helps to decrease surface tension thereby smoothen the surface of the hair so that the hair strands glide on each other which leads to less friction between the hair and also less knots and tangles. It also help to make the hair to shine.<br />
<br />
The rice water helps in hair growth and acts as a strengthening aid. One great thing about rice water is that the molecules of inositol still attaches to the hair strands eve after it has been rinsed off so that it still continue to works and you supposedly observe improvement after the first rinse.<br />
The rice water is also used to wash/rinse the face as a face rinse and also used as a toner and a makeup refreshing spray. It helps to tone the face, minimise the pores and helps to heal scars.<br />
<br />
HOW TO MAKE RICE WATER<br />
It is simple. There are two ways. One method involves getting an appropriate amount of rice (it doesnāt have to be so much ā¦..e.g Ā¼ ā Ā½ cup of rice) and rinse with water once (to remove dirt). Then wash the rice with water (make sure the water covers the riceā¦..like 6 folds) and then decant the water into another container with a lid. Place in a cool, dry and dark place for 24 -48 hours to ferment. You would know when it is fermented when it tastes sour or smells funky. You can boil it afterwards to stop the fermentation process if you plan on storing it for a week in the fridge.<br />
<br />
Another method is to place the rice and water in a pot (after rinsing once to remove the dirt) and boil for about 10-15 minutes. Decant the water into a container and allow it to cool.<br />
<br />
HOW TO USE IT FOR YOUR HAIR<br />
Simply wash and condition your hair then rinse your hair with the rice water and allow to stay on your hair for 15 -30 minutes (watch the video below for more information). Then rinse off with water.<br />
Watch the video here:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/RCVy0J31rts/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/RCVy0J31rts?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
<br />
Continue with moisturising and sealing of your hair.<br />
<br />
To be able to see an improvement, you need to carry out this hair rinse weekly consistently. Also the Yao women also have unique genetics and diet so you might not achieve 6 feet length of hair growth but you would definitely see a major difference as seen in different women who have started using this remedy consistently.<br />
<br />
That is all for now. I hope you enjoyed this post and are intrigued enough to try this unconventional hair rinse. Remember that you have to be consistent with it and your daily hair regimen to achieve great results.<br />

Hiya Guys, I hope you are doing great. It is time for another DIYā¦..Yasss, yāall. I am sure that after you read the title, you must have been shocked to further read that the way to look 10 years younger is with a DIY (Do it Yourself) recipe. Excuse meā¦ā¦Did you think I was going to recommend a surgical procedure?.....Naaaaaa, I donāt play with needles except it is a life and death issue like immunization or when I canāt swallow oral medications.<br />
<br />
Anywhoo, I am here to let you into a secret that top models have known for years but has been looked down by most people. So you want to look 10 years younger? You want those pores tighten up to infinity and beyond? You want the nasty blackheads and whiteheads gone? If your answers were yes, then grab a chair for a few minutes, read this article (and watch the video below) then run into your kitchen and your toilet and get cracking.<br />
<br />
KITCHEN? TOILET? What is the correlation? Keep reading folksā¦..This secret of supermodels is a very simple recipe. You need two itemsā¦.Are you ready? Okayā¦.here it isā¦..Egg white and Tissue paperā¦ā¦.What?! I know, right! When I first heard about it, I said āthese people are super crazyā. Then I tried itā¦. I have been knocking my head since (almost 3 years ago). I was likeā¦. Where has this secret been all my life?<br />
<br />
So here is how you apply the mask. You use a foundation brush (I have one dedicated to my mask application) to apply a good coating of the egg white (you donāt need a lot and you can whisk it before application if you desire) on your face. Divide the tissue paper into 1 ply (into 2 if it is a 2 ply tissue or 3 if it is a 3 ply tissue) and place on your face. Cut out the portion that is too long or that covers your eyes, mouth and nostrils. Avoid placing on your hairline or eyebrows. Apply another coating on the tissue paper to make sure it stays in place. Work in sections and repeat the procedure all over your face (Watch the video below to understand better).<br />
<br />
Allow the mask to dry for about 30 minutes then peel gently in an upward direction to help mechanically remove the blackheads and whiteheads from your pores. You would feel that your face is tighter and smoother. And that is it! Simple and easy and I believe it costs less than 50 naira (you use just a little bit of the egg white and very little of the tissue).<br />
<br />
Egg white contains one of the purest forms of protein. Egg white is said to be able to help fight acne, reduce lines around the mouth, reduce wrinkles and even rejuvenate the skin. It helps to improve skin elasticity and the tones the skin. It is included in the egg white facial treatments that are offered by a lot of spas and beauty parlors around the world (who would charge you an arm and a leg for it). It is popular because it does not contain harsh chemicals and acids. A lot of people who have sensitive skin are known to choose egg white masks instead of masks with products like retinol and alpha hydroxyl acid.<br />
<br />
Here is the short video showing how to apply the mask:<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/pb4Sbqlpv_A/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/pb4Sbqlpv_A?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
I do hope that if you decided to try it you would let me know how your skin feels and your thoughts about it. Remember you need to do this once a week (for those who are older and already have wrinkle or signs of wrinkles)/bi weekly/monthly to see long-lasting and visible results. I donāt have wrinkles but I have large pores so I do this biweekly because I have other DIY masks that I apply on my face. Be sure to do a patch test of this mask before using it all over your face to check if you would be allergic to it.<br />
<br />
I hope you like this DIY post. Have you been enjoying my recent posts? What do you want me to post about next?<br />

Relax......Give yourself a good scrub a dub and remove the stress of the week. Step into the new week with fresh and glowing skin.<br />
<br />
My personal favourite for scrubs are the non foaming cream based or foaming cream based ones. They exfoliate and moisturise the skin. And the best part, they stay put on the skin and don't fall down like the wall of Jericho....<br />
<br />
Here is a small clip showing how I use my (the one I make and sell) foaming body polish:<br />

<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/fPSTpkh9Tk0/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fPSTpkh9Tk0?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
Here are some reasons breakage occurs from relaxer use:<br />
<br />
Over-processing the hair: In which an excessive use of relaxer is used or relaxers are applied to previously relaxed hair. Relaxer should be applied to only the new growth.<br />
<br />
Not using a protective cream on the scalp: A lot of hair stylists are guilty of this. They just start applying the relaxer without protecting the scalp. A protective cream (e.g Petroleum jelly) should be applied to help protect the scalp from damage and burns.<br />
<br />
Not properly neutralising the hair: when I was relaxed, I made sure that I took my own neutralising shampoo to the salon. I know that some of these stylists use diluted neutralising shampoo and are always trying to cut down on the quantity they use. It is better to be safe than sorry. After the hair has been processed for the appropriate time, it should be completely removed with warm water. A neutralising shampoo should be used to lower the pH of the hair because if it is not lowered, the hair would break as a result of the chemical continuing to work on the hair strand thereby weakening it further.<br />
<br />
Not using protein and moisture treatments: Protein and moisture treatments should be used to restore some of the natural moisture and proteins that have been stripped from the hair by the relaxer. Those who have natural hair should also carry out regular protein and moisture treatments to strengthen and add moisture to the hair strands to prevent dry hair and breakage.<br />
<br />
Use of excessive heat: This applies to both natural and relaxed hair. Excessive use of direct heat in the form of heat tools such as flatirons will lead to further damage of the hair and dry out the hair. If you want to use heat tools, do so sparingly and always remember to use a thermal protectant.<br />
<br />

<iframe allowfullscreen="" class="YOUTUBE-iframe-video" data-thumbnail-src="https://i.ytimg.com/vi/fPSTpkh9Tk0/0.jpg" frameborder="0" height="266" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fPSTpkh9Tk0?feature=player_embedded" width="320"></iframe></div>
<br />
HOW TO USE<br />
Wash your hair with a gentle shampoo and rinse. Allow the hair to dry till it is about 60% dry.<br />
Section your hair into four (or more depending on the length of your hair) sections. Apply the treatment to small sections of your hair in the larger section, working your way from roots to ends. It is essential that you donāt forget the ends as they are the weakest part of the hair strands. Twist or clip the hair that is coated with the protein treatment aside so that you can work on other sections without any hindrance. Continue the steps on all the other sections.<br />
<br />
When you are finished, you can cover your hair with a plastic bag, shower cap or cling film and leave it on for 15 ā 20 minutes.<br />
<br />
Rinse with COOL water not hot water. If you use hot or warm water, you would have scrambled egg pieces in your hair (it has happened to me).<br />
<br />
Towel dry your hair till it is about 60% dry, then follow up with a moisture based deep conditioner or rinse out conditioner (which you can allow to stay on your hair for 5 ā 10 minutes). Always follow up with moisture based conditioner, else your hair would be so dry and it would increase the chances of breakage.<br />
<br />
I advise that you carry out this treatment one week before relaxing and immediately after relaxing. You should also carry it out once a month (whether you are relaxed or natural).<br />
<br />
I hope you try out this amazing protein treatment and let me know how your hair felt afterwards.<br />

<br />
Black hair is naturally dry and prone to breakage due to its elliptical shape and when it is chemically relaxed, it is even harder to keep it healthy. Many black women suffer from breakage and hair loss hence the inability to grow long hair.<br />
<br />
The hair is made up of the cuticle, the cortex, the hair follicle, sebaceous glands and melanin.Every hair on your head goes through three phases:<br />
<br />
The Growing (Anagen) Phase: which is genetically predetermined and can last between 3 to 7 years.<br />
<br />
The Resting or Transisition (Catagen) Phase: which lasts between 2 to 4 weeks<br />
<br />
The Shedding (Telogen) Phase: which can last from 3 to 4 months<br />
<br />
Shedding is a natural process during which the old hairs are replaced with new hairs. It is normal to lose about 50 ā 80 hairs/day in which any shedding above 80 hairs/day is classified as excessive shedding. Heat styling, over-processing of the hair and using harsh hair products can lead to the hairās cortex being damaged which would lead to breakage.<br />
<br />
Coffee contains caffeine which can block DHT (Dihydrotestosterone), a naturally occurring metabolite of the testosterone hormone made by the body and is found in both men and women. DHT is a key element of male pattern baldness, alopecia and other significant hair loss. It stunts your hairās growing phase and increases the shedding phase so that over time your hair follicles become smaller, shorter and has a finer texture that leads to accelerated hair loss.<br />
<br />
Using coffee as a hair rinse aids in blocking DHT hence helps to reduce hair loss by reversing its effect on the growing phase. Other benefits of a coffee hair rinse include the provision of shine to the hair and enriching brown to black colored hair (precaution sehould be taken on lightly coloured hair).<br />
