GRATITUDE......

Image result for refugees images

Hey guys, how have you been? How was your Christmas celebrations? Mine was okay. I got invited to have a typical British Christmas Lunch at the home of the ministers in charge of my church so Christmas day wasn't so bad.

Lately i have been feeling out of my element, i didn't want to go out, i didn't want to watch movies or do anything. I have been feeling sorry for myself and worrying about what would happen to me very soon if a miracle doesn't happen. I didn't want to even go to church today but i am so glad i did.

Today's reading was about Joseph (the earthly father of Jesus) running away from Herod with Mary and Baby Jesus and living in Egypt then in Nazareth afterwards. For the first time in my life, i realised that Jesus and his parents at that time were refugees. I was like 'oh my goodness'. They ran away to save the life of Jesus. The reading seem befitting at this time when some people are having so much issues with countries taking care of refugees.

Then came some shockers for me. A member of my church was called up and she was asked some questions. As i listened to her story, every sorry spirit in me started to disappear. Things might not look too rosy for me but at least my story is not that bad. She had to leave her country Zimbabwe, her family and her 3 year old daughter so that she can protect her life and their lives. Just because she was standing up for justice. Even though she has been here for almost 15 years, she has not had it easy. Right now she says she receives no support from the home office and is on the list of people who are to be deported.

Another guy from Sudan who is not a member of my church also told his story and how he had to run away from sudan to save his life and had to pass through the desert just to finally reach the UK. He also said the same thing about the Home Office and how badly they are treating him and others but said that people have been nice to him and even though he is a muslim he finds that Christians are very nice to him.

Hearing their stories made me appreciate all that i have and i am going through. It is not as easy as i want it to be but i know it can only get better. What i feel is too complicated and hard for me, i trust that God would make a way and when it is at the perfect time.

The lesson here is that no matter how bad you think you have got it, someone has it worse than you. So be thankful for everything you have and are passing through.

GRATITUDE POST.....

Image result for grateful quotes

I was nominated for the gratitude challenge post by the lovely Amaka of Seyonhundeyin.blogspot.com some days ago but i have been incredible busy and too lazy to write the post. When i decided to write it yesterday i got distracted that is why i am writing it today. Thank you Amaka for the nomination. You guys should check out her blog.....she spits some serious truths and has a series called 'Grammar 101'

The rules are that you should accept the challenge in 72 hours upon nomination (which i didn't do....I am so sorry) and you have to write 5 things you are grateful for on any social media platform (including blogs). Then you are to nominate 5 other people to take up the challenge.

I like gratitude challenges because it makes you to stop and take a good look at your life and allows you to remember how blessed you are. When you count your blessings, all your problems seem to fade away at that moment.

So here are five things (among a lot of things) i am grateful for:

40000 VIEWS AND NEW BEGINNINGS....

Instead of me to concentrate in class, I was joining the selfie nation and taking a selfie...lol
Update: The giveaway is officially over. Thanks for participating.....

Hey guys, I am really beat. I don't know if it is because I went shopping after the lectures or because I think I am too old to be sitting down for a lecture of more than 2 hours but I am super beat. However I just checked my page views and I see that we have MADE it. We have finally reached 40000 views and counting. It is actually 40026 as of now.

BABY BORN WITH UPSIDE DOWN HEAD DEFIED THE DOCTORS AND IS NOW AN INSPIRATIONAL/MOTIVATIONAL SPEAKER

Resourceful: Claudio Vieira de Oliveira has a rare degenerative disease of the joints that has left him without the use of his limbs ... and an upside-down head
Claudio.....
It is now official! No one should complain after reading this post. I realised after reading it that i have no choice than to be thankful. I am going to start learning how to not allow things that used to bother me not bother me again. It would not be easy, heck something just happened about 10 minutes ago and it almost made me sad but i have refused to go down that road. I want to soar like an eagle and not go down a tunnel.

Anyway enough yapping about me and my minute struggle and let me introduce you to a guy who has an upside down head. Doctors told his mother to starve him but she knew better. The man is 37 now, an accountant and a motivational speaker....Go figure. I hope you enjoy the article...

THE GRATITUDE CHALLENGE….

Hey guys, so we have all read and heard about the #ALSICEBUCKETCHALLENGE and how it has been incredible successful in raising a lot of money for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis cause (if you don’t understand what is involved check here). So I guess someone decided to start a gratitude challenge.

The rules are that for 7 days that you state 3 things you are grateful for and also nominate people on the first day you are challenged by someone else. When I first saw someone else on my facebook thread take the challenge, the first thing I thought was ‘Oh God!! People have started again. They are going to bastardize the whole challenge stuff’.

2013 PICTURES IN A VIDEO

Hey guys, the Lord has been good to me and my family this year and i am extremely grateful. Was looking through my photos and i decided to make a video with some of them.

The pictures reflect a little of what had happened to me this year. I am praying that the glory of 2014 would surpass the glory of 2013 (Haggai 2:9), in Jesus name.

I hope you are able to view the video and enjoy it too. Thanks for stopping by....
