STARTING A YOUTUBE CHANNEL

Hey guys, it has been a while. I have been at a cross road in my life. It has not been easy. I feel so overwhelmed right now. Right now I am so discouraged and dejected. I remembered that writing always made me feel better so I decided to type away.

I recently revived my youtube channel and I have been posting some videos. I was super concerned some days ago by the few subscribers I have despite the fact that I sent my first BBM and WHATSAPP broadcast message to my contacts in months. I got encouragement from some older youtubers who said it takes time to get the views and subscribers that might make youtube/vlogging encouraging.

But I kid you not, it is not easy to motivate yourself. I am always buying data plan because uploading a video takes about 1GB of data and sometimes when the video has uploaded to a certain extent, something happens and it is unable to load and then I have to reload the video (more data is being consumed). Financially it has been really draining.

However I really like recording videos, editing and doing voiceovers. I have so much content that I want to put up but I am slowly beginning to think I might not be able to continue for a long time. I just need a little bit of encouragement. Oh well, we would see how long I can financially sustain my youtube hobby.

How are you guys doing? What project have you carried out and you were not able to complete for whatever reason? And when did you let it go? I would love to read your comments….(I hope someone is even reading my blog).

Thanks for stopping by.

Luv ya,
Petite Diva.

HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY....

Image result for Democracy day picture
Proudly Nigerian
Yaaaay! The day has finally arrived (okay i am late but i can still be yaaayyinnnng till the end of the day). Yes it is democracy day and inauguration day. Happy democracy day Nigerians. May God help our country reach greater heights and may God grant our leaders wisdom, strength and good health to lead us right.

I should have written this earlier but i was a little bit busy and lazy today. After doing some house chores in the morning, i was glued to my phone to read bits of what was happening at eagles square in the morning. You see early in the morning there was no light and when they brought power i couldn't watch the inauguration because my recently repaired television went kaput on me again. It died while i was watching my indian soap opera yesterday and imagine when a friend was around.....nonsense T.V and repair man!

WHICH WAY ARE WE HEADING NIGERIA?

A truly hilarious picture....hahaha
I saw the above picture on someone's bbm display picture and I just had to save it and post it. It is hilarious. Apologies to the APC voltrons and PDP power rangers.......lol

It is ten days to elections and things have started getting nasty. I am not an APC or a PDP supporter but I am impressed with the way things are going.

COUNTDOWN TOWARDS 2015 ELECTIONS.....PLAYING THE POLITICS GAME

I chose this picture even though it is South African because it reminds me that we don't need a lot to be brave and fight for peace, freedom and improvement for our country..
Hey guys, how have you been? I was up to something nice today. I baked again, don't worry I would tell you all about it later. I would like to talk about politics today.Yes, politics. If you have been listening to news about Nigeria, you would know that this year is election year.

And lately there has been a lot of noise every where in the name of campaigning for their candidates. There is no day I don't see a lot of rubbish thrown at each of the prominent candidates. The two main presidential candidates are two opposites as opposite can be. And people are playing on that.

DO I NEED TO NIGERIANALIZE MY BRAIN?

I guess that is a funny question to you guys but I am seriously thinking of whether I need it or not. I went to the cinemas to watch ‘Sparkle’ by Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston (wasn’t that interested in it but loved the make-up and clothes), then went to see a friend. On my way back, I looked at the wonderful Christmas lights and decorations on the street and I didn’t want to come home.

I wanted to drive around Uyo town, marvel in the beauty of the lights and take pictures( Uyo is a sight to behold at these time. Some parts of Lagos would also be a sight to behold right now but i don't live in those areas so i would never have gotten to see the full beauty of the decorations at night.) Then after the drive go to an outdoor restaurant and eat a wonderful meal and have a great desert like chocolate cake with insanely divine ice cream. After the meal, I would love to take a quiet stroll anywhere but preferably in a garden/ by a lake then go to a lovely hotel room/suite and have a beautiful night rest.

After the thought came to my mind, I had to ask myself if I was for real. I need to start thinking like a Nigerian. I think my head is in the clouds or somewhere. I noticed that this is not the only kind of outrageous or should I say ‘un nigerian’ fantasy or dream I have thought about lately. I noticed a beautiful expanse of land along Udo Udoma road in Uyo and all I could think of was ‘it was a perfect place for a picnic’. I wished I had a car to just pack some food, take a camera and a mp3 player for music and just go there to relax. I know that it would be nice for friends to be around too but I don’t think too many Nigerians are interested in picnics so they would probably refuse.

I am really a peculiar girl. My dream dates are dinner dates in a restaurant (a restaurant people, not a fast food joint, I mean a place where they serve a 3 course meal), movie date (after eating out), picnic dates, going to the beach or a new place/museum and taking strolls. I love dancing but I hate night clubs so I would never be impressed if I am taken to a club. I don’t drink (or that should state that I can’t drink) so going to a loud joint ain’t my thing but if you can find a cool bar with clean air and less noise then I am down for that but you are not allowed to get drunk on me and act a fool.

I guess I am reaching for the skies here but that is who I am, no apologies. So since I cannot go to a 5 star hotel suite now I would settle for my room and dream (I am allowed to do that right?......lol). What can I say, I am a dreamer. *shrugging.

Wait a minute! Do Nigerian Guys take their girlfriends/wives on dinner dates? 'Cos the guys i have dated didn't so i assumed that Nigerian men didn't go out on dinner dates

Oh! Before I forget; Merry Christmas Folks. I pray that the reason for the season comes into your homes and hearts and fills you with everlasting joy. Have a blessed holiday. I would try to write something on Christmas day as I am going to be on call that day but I never know what could happen with the internet service provider I have. Till then, Happy Holidays guys!

Kisses,
Petite Diva.

I AM A NIGERIAN AND DARN PROUD OF IT!

I have been a little lazy lately to write but I was spurred into writing due to the events that are happening in my country.

For those who don’t know, Nigeria has been battling a menace called ‘boko haram’ and lately they seem to be getting out of control. Last year when people put on their finest apparel and went to church on Christmas day, they decided to plant a bomb in a church and kill some innocent people.

We were still trying to get over that incident when they decided to kill lots of people in kano, bauchi and plant bombs in bayelsa.

I was beginning to get really pissed when the latest news coming from their camp was that they want to make Nigeria an Islamic nation. Some people are saying that a certain pastor has prophesied that Nigeria would break up into 5 countries and that did it for me! I just had to say what was on my mind.

I am a Nigerian, a fabulous Nigerian for that matter! God did not cause me to be born in another country. My children would say they are Nigerians even if I end up marrying someone from another country. I refuse to believe any sect or persons that say MY COUNTRY would break up.

Anybody that tries to stand in the way of the progress of this country would be consumed by fire. I have a passport that says Nigerian not South western Nigeria. I have the right and freedom to marry anybody from any part of Nigerian and not need a passport to go and see friends in other parts of my country.

People that think they can wake up one morning and decide that they want this country to be an Islamic one are comedians, jokers of the highest order! I would not be threatened in my own country. The land upon which I stand and walk upon shall not be divided! I know that it is possible that the man of God saw the prophecy that Nigeria would break up but I trust that God can change his mind.

So let it be heard that I SAY I AM A NIGERIAN, I HAVE A NIGERIAN PASSPORT, I AM A PHARMACIST IN THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA AND REFUSE TO CLAIM ANY OTHER COUNTRY! And that is that about all that talk of breaking up.

I gotta go. I need to rest for tomorrow. Work has been really crazy lately.
Luv ya,
Proudly Nigerian Petite Diva.
