You all know that the scholarship i got was two thirds of my total tuition fees and i still had a hefty amount to pay. Well i was able to pay two thirds of the remaining amount before i came here and had a plan to pay the remaining with an arrears of salary i was expecting. Well the economic situation right now in Nigeria is not rosy and salaries are owed to millions of people right now. Then the exchange rate keeps skyrocketing and everything is really tight.
I still have £2000 to pay or else i get cut off from school facilities. I had held on for so long thinking that before the payment deadline, i would be able to pay. But i received a call recently that made me realise that the payment wasn't going to happen anytime soon. So i had no choice than to let everyone know about my gofundme page that i started up about two months ago as a 'just do it' kinda of thing. I almost deleted the page but i didn't understand all the rules that was been written so i kept it open.
So because i have the pride of a peacock and i felt so ashamed, i put up the tiny post around 10pm when i felt people would be sleeping. But i was totally surprised when i started getting messages and calls about what i posted. I have gotten so many 'why didn't you say anything?'. However i couldn't have said anything because i still had hope that the payment would arrive.
I also didn't want to post anything here but since it is out open already, i felt that there is no hiding now. Since i put up the post the donation has increased from £5 to £410....Really impressive. And from so many people i didn't even know knew about it and so many people i don't know. However i need to get £2000 by the 29th of February, 2016 and i am worried i might not get it. I need you my wonderful readers to check out my page , donate if possible and share it so that it reaches the farthest places and my story touches people's hearts and they donate.
I would really appreciate all the help i can get right now. It has not been easy with this journey but i am confident that everything would be worth it at the end.
Thanks for stopping by,
P.S: Please, please, please, please remember to check my page here, donate and/or share it
